What is Easter at Lighthouse?

Easter at Lighthouse is a celebration of the victory that Jesus, our King has brought to us. Because He lives, we live. His victory can be our victory. His life defeats death. His love defeats hate. His forgiveness defeats shame. His compassion defeats indifference. His hope defeats despair. Easter at Lighthouse is centered on the fact that only Jesus is our hope in life and death. Only Jesus is our salvation from sin and purpose for living. Through Pastor Copeland’s clear and engaging Bible message, you will understand what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, why it matters to you, and how to apply that truth to your life today.

Join us for Easter at Lighthouse on April 20 at 10:30 AM as we celebrate our Savior as the Lamb, the Lion, the King!

Jesus Christ is often referred to by three powerful titles that encapsulate His divine nature and purpose: the Lamb of God, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and the King of Kings.

As the Lamb of God, He is the ultimate sacrifice for humanity’s sins, symbolizing purity and the fulfillment of God’s promise for redemption through His death on the cross. His sacrifice cleanses believers from sin, offering salvation to all who accept Him.

As the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, He embodies strength, courage, and kingship, prophesied in the Old Testament as the conquering Messiah who triumphs over evil. His resurrection from the dead during Easter is the victory of this lion-hearted king over sin and death, proving His authority over all.

Lastly, as the King of Kings, He reigns supreme over all creation, offering eternal life to those who follow Him.

These titles converge at Easter, where His death and resurrection fulfill the ultimate plan for humanity’s salvation, showing that Jesus is both the humble servant who died for us and the triumphant King who will return in glory. Through His sacrifice, we are invited to share in His victory, experiencing the hope and renewal that Easter represents!

Frequently Asked Questions

What time will the service be?

Here’s the schedule for Easter Sunday:

10:30 – Morning Worship Service
12:00 – Easter Egg Hunt (After the Morning Service)
6:00 – Evening Worship Service

Where are you located?

6905 Nan Gray Davis Road, Theodore, AL 36582

We are just off of I-10, exit 13. Our church is across the street from Nan Gray Davis Elementary School and around the corner from Theodore High School.

What will the service be like?

Most services in our church last about one hour. You can expect our Easter services to last about an hour and 20 minutes due to the additional songs and production. In addition to music provided by our choir, ensemble, and orchestra, we will also celebrate the resurrection by singing several songs together as a congregation. After the music portion of our service concludes, Pastor Copeland will share a message of hope from God’s Word.

Where will I park?

There is a large amount of parking available on our property at 6905 Nan Gray Davis Road. In the event that our parking lot is full, we have additional space in our adjacent gravel lot and at Nan Gray Davis Elementary directly across the street.

What should I wear?

There is not a strict dress code to attend our public services. We’re more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear. A majority of our church members will wear their “Sunday best”- men in a dress shirt, slacks, and a tie, and women in a modest dress or outfit. However, we only ask that you be appropriate in what you choose to wear to church.

Will childcare be available?

We provide a first-class nursery and childcare for your newborn or baby, where they will be kept safe and well supervised. We provide a tracking number for each child and parent during your visit here at Lighthouse Baptist. Background checks are run on all of our nursery workers to ensure our children’s safety.
