When and Where?

Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!)

We want it to be easy for you to come to church.  We want you to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you into the family of Lighthouse.  We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns.  Here's a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit Lighthouse.  If you don't see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages, please contact us in the church office by calling 251-653-6542.  Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to Lighthouse.

Where are you located?
Our address is 6905 Nan Gray Davis Road, Theodore, AL 36582.

Where do I go?
Greeters are located at each entrance to the building and are available to direct you to the Sanctuary for worship, to a classroom for Bible Study or to any specific ministry meeting area.

What should I wear?
Dress comfortably.  We're more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear.  While some people do choose to wear their "Sunday best", our biggest concern is that you are comfortable.  We only ask that you be modest and appropriate in what you choose to wear to worship.

What do I need to bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in both worship and Bible Study.  If you have a Bible, bring it with you.  If you don't have a Bible, copies of the King James Version are located in the Sanctuary for your use.

When do I need to arrive?
Sunday morning services begin promptly at 11am.  Bible Study classes meet at 10:00am.  Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Sanctuary/Bible Study class.

Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes.  There is reserved parking directly in front of the Sanctuary.  The building is also equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible restrooms located throughout the building.  The sanctuary has seating available specifically for wheelchairs. Should you need a wheelchair to use or need assistance, please call the church office ahead of time and we'll be waiting on you to help you get to where you're going.

Where do my children go?
Just inside the entrance are greeters stationed throughout the morning to register your child and direct them to their classroom.

How are visitors recognized?
The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot.  We ask visitors to fill out a Guest Information Card located inside of the weekly bulletin and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit.  We'll never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way.  We want you to have a wonderful experience at Lighthouse and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.

We hope you'll join us soon.
