As always, December at Lighthouse was a busy time of year. What a joy to be a part of a church that puts Christ 1st throughout the year, but especially during the Christmas season. At the beginning of the month the Lighthouse Baptist Academy, students put on two showings of an exciting play entitled, Christmas in Black and White. Through singing and acting the students challenged us to realize the true meaning for Christmas. Kindergarteners all the way through 12th grade sang alongside this year’s cast and their performance made us laugh and......

Our long wait is over! We want to welcome Pastor Miguel De Anda and his family to the Lighthouse Baptist Church family! Pastor Miguel and Mrs. Abigail have four children: Marianna, an eighth grader, Danny and David, seventh graders, and Alexa, who is in the second grade! Our Spanish folks worked hard and welcomed their new pastor with 230 in attendance, where they saw several salvations and baptisms. God has big things in store for the Spanish-speaking folks of our area, with Pastor De Anda picking up the mantle of Pastor Fidel......

Veterans Sunday

Our church family loves our country and those who have served it! We were privileged to take part in a moving Veterans’ Day service. The music touched our hearts and inspired us to remember all those who have fought for our freedom. It was such a blessing to see our children – the next generation – sing and wave American flags; our grateful thanks to the teachers who work with them and teach them patriotism. God has truly blessed our nation and we are thankful for those who defend our freedoms. Traditionally......

We had a wonderful missions conference 2016 with Dr. Lou Baldwin; the preaching was inspiring and convicting at the same time. As a local, New Testament church, we must believe that the church has a responsibility to reach the world for Christ – this is the vision God had for His people! God has equipped us with the proper tools and Dr. Baldwin challenged us to be a part of the Lighthouse mission team! He warned us about the problem of losing our vision and motivated us as he recounted the blessings of being a liberal giver. He......

Hello Lighthouse Family, On October 15,2000, we launched the Lighthouse Baptist Church in a small outdated block building on Nan Gray Davis Rd. That’s right, we have officially turned 16 as a church! We have learned a lot along the way and have been able to see the Lord do some incredible things. This past Sunday on October 16 we celebrated our church anniversary with a community wide celebration. We had an amazing day and God truly blessed!! Here are a few stats from this past Sunday: * 88 cars parked across......

As parents and ministry team members, do we sometimes forget that God speaks to the hearts of kids? I Samuel 3:8-10 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the LORD came, and stood,......

During the school year, I get to be a part of the Good News Club at Burrough’s Elementary School. Each week, a small team of workers gathers after school in a designated classroom to share the good news of the Gospel with the students of Burrough’s. The children enter the club meetings with excitement, and they love singing Bible songs, hearing engaging Bible stories, and participating in fun activities. While many of the club members attend church and already have a familiarity with the Bible, some of the children have almost no knowledge of......
